The letters send by Americans to the Roosevelt’s during the Great Depression can be be seen in two ways. First it can be seen as letters that tell about personal strategies or as letters that informed Roosevelt about the democratic problems and that the government was incapable to properly carrying out various reforms. They informed Roosevelt about the policies that have worked or were not working at the local level. They conveyed t everyone from the government that their response was not enough towards certain economic problems. They also informed about the inequities and the civil rights violations that the New Deal program created.
